Collection: Christian Dior

The House of Dior was established in 1947 at 30 Avenue Montaigne in Paris. Christian Dior launched his first fashion collection for Spring Summer that year, otherwise known as the ‘New Look’. This collection was revolutionary for women in the Forties and Dior’s debut collection is credited with reviving the fashion industry of France. Dior’s former assistant, Yves Saint Laurent succeeded Dior after a sudden death in 1957. Saint Laurent became the world's youngest couturier at age 21.

In July 2016 came a new chapter as Maria Grazia Chiuri took her turn at the helm. MGC is the first woman to creatively direct the house and has invigorated the label with magnetic modernity and feminism.
