      How long does my gift recipient have to activate their COCOON gift?

      Gift memberships and gift voucher codes must be activated within 6-months of issue

      Who pays the refundable holding fee?

      A refundable holding fee and active card check is required to become a COCOON member in case of damages.

      For COCOON vouchers and COCOON 1 month and 3 month gift memberships: recipients will be required to pay the refundable holding fee and pass an active card check at check out.

      How does my recipient activate their COCOON gift membership?

      We’ll send you an email confirmation for your gift order with instructions to forward to the recipient to activate their gift.

      For gifted 1 or 3 month memberships: In the email confirmation for your gift order, you’ll receive a unique discount code to share with the recipient which they can use to activate their membership. All they need to do is click the activation link included in the email which will take the recipient to the membership pricing page. The recipient should add the membership that they’ve been gifted to their cart and apply the unique discount code they’ve been provided with at checkout. They’ll also have to create an account at this stage. Our friendly membership team is always here to help if the recipient has any questions.

      For gifted recurring membership: If you have previously purchased recurring gift membership, please get in touch with membership@cocoonclub.co.uk who will help the recipient to get set up membership.

      How does my recipient activate their COCOON gift voucher?

      In the email confirmation for your gift order, you’ll receive a unique discount code to share with the recipient which they can use to activate their membership. All they need to do is click the activation link included in the email which will take the recipient to the membership pricing page where they can explore memberships and choose the plan that’s right for them. The recipient should add the membership they’ve chosen to their cart and apply the unique discount code they’ve been provided with at checkout. They’ll also have to create an account at this stage. Our friendly membership team is always here to help if the recipient has any questions.

      What happens at the end of a gifted membership term?

      At the end of a gifted membership term, COCOON will contact the recipient to let them know that the  gifted membership period is coming to an end and give them the opportunity to cancel or continue on as a paying member. If they choose to continue on as a paying member, the card on file will automatically be charged the standard membership fee on a recurring monthly or quarterly basis. 

      The 30-day cancellation notice period is waived for gift recipients, however, cancellation must be communicated at least 3 days before the end of the gifted membership term.
